Note: this post is mostly for my sister Hillary who is currently devoting her life to becoming a beach bum and quite possibly a professional surfboarder on the lovely island of Kaui. Just kidding! She is doing an intership there to finish up her degree and this is how I keep her updated. Her life is so hard! RUDE!
This past week I have had off from work because the dentist I work for went out of town. I really enjoyed my time off! I decided to get a few things done with all the time on my hands. I have been wanting to redecorate my mantle and I finally succeeded. I know it really isn't fall yet, but we love fall!
This is my favorite purchase. It is a fabulous wreath that I found and convinced Jordan to like. Jordan is very involved in decorating our apartment. He likes to have a say in the things I buy, but I can't complain because he has great taste.
This is our new entertainment center and tv. We bought these as graduation presents for ourselves after we got jobs! We love being able to buy things, and we love having a bigger tv! I can actually see the tv from the kitchen when I am making dinner (which is not very often!)
My new valance! I am not much of a seamstress ( I haven't sewn anything since 8th grade sewing with Mrs. Hinckley), but I think I did pretty well. I also have to give a shout out to my mom, she let me use her sewing machine and she offered her knowledge! Thanks mom!
I also made a small runner for my pathetic excuse for a nightstand. It is trying to help tie everything together.
This is my fun bookshelf. It is all decorated for fall.
I have had this cute red shelf since we got married, but I found this great painting to go with it.
The finished product! We love our apartment. It has been a great blessing for us to have found such a great place to live.I feel like I have accomplished a good many things this week! It was a fun week off!

I love your bookshelf. You just made me want to go get my condo all ready for fall! We love the fall too. Its been too dang hot the last few days though, I'm ready for it to be nice and cool.

wow that is so cute! You really pulled everything together. Thats funny that Jordan has such an opinion on decorating b/c Josh does too, and it kind of drives me mental. Although it is nice in the sense he actually notices those little details that most guys probably wouldn't. Anyway, I love your picture frames and your entertainment center, so pretty!
SISTER!! Thanks for the post it was fun to see your house! It is weird though to see fall colors because I will not see fall at all this year. you are welcome to come and decorate my house any time you want! You did a really good job. Don't feel bad you already have your fall stuff up, I put mine up weeks ago. I can never wait for the actual season to start.

SO cute! I love the entertainment center and the bookshelf! Shon has to have a say in the decorations too, we butt heads about it quite a bit, but he is usually right, and it looks better..which makes me mad! haha
